A New Documentary about Madame Clémentine Delait (1865-1939) a bearded woman in France

The french filmmaker Hélène Michael-Becket has made a documentray about Clémentine Delait with the titel: Un Poil Différent.e”.

The documentary is very interesting, poetic, and shows many impressions of the life of Madame Delait. Different people have been interviewed to speak about bearded women then and now, about Gender and Intersexuality and other aspects around bearded women. One is a psychologist and I feel honored that I was also interviewed about my life and thoughts on being a bearded woman.

Olivier Richaume, a french actor, who has created a theaterplay with the titel:  “La Vie exemplaire de Clémentine Delait”  plays the role of Madame Delait in this film. The words that he uses are partly taken from a little booklet in which Madame Delait wrote down her memoires.
Madame Delait had been married and together with the husband she had a Cafe in  Thaon-Les-Vosges. The building of the Cafe is no longer there. Thaon has a small museum in which some objects and fotos of Madame Delait are shown.
